Kelly Group of Companies was awarded the Wetalla Water Treatment Solar Hall Roof Sheeting Replacement by Toowoomba Regional Council in June, 2019 following the high standard of our tender submission. Kelly Group had previously been engaged by council to undertake substantial roofing and plumbing works at the Wetalla Water Processing Facility from 2006 through to 2008.

The success of these early contracts had proven the company’s proficiency, capability and familiarity with this type of work. Meticulous planning resulted in efficient progress throughout this job with continuous priority given to safety. Before roofing work could begin the bio-solids were first covered in progressive sections, roughly 25m x 18m, to prevent contamination by building materials.
Kelly Group installed 4700m² of Wonderglass GC 2400 5 Rib Trimdeck, well under expected time frames and to budget. The sheet colour, Ice Clear, was specifically chosen to allow maximum penetration of light and Kelly Group collaborated closely with the client to identify this product (instead of the Super Six profile originally specified) to promote efficiencies of the facility.
Project management for the Toowoomba Regional Council reported most favourably on successful timely completion and on Kelly Group’s performance to this end.
