Centenary Heights State School 2021

Kelly Group of Companies was contracted to perform a roof replacement on the school’s J Block in the Easter holidays of 2021. Our team were already familiar with the school and staff having previously re-roofed the swimming pool with 100mm Solarspan panel in December 2020.

The client requested that the building remain watertight throughout the job. Programs were then structured to schedule the majority of works in the morning in order to leave enough time to seal the building overnight. Preplanning was critical to project success.

The re-roof was an area of 1500m² consisting of 5 different roofs requiring numerous flashings. Materials used included 0.48 KLIP-LOK sheeting due to its flat pitch and stainless-steel box gutters which were specifically chosen to prevent future corrosion.

The school had other contractors on site completing works on the same building. As the head contractor, our project manager effectively liaised with the school and the contractors to enable access at different stages of work-in-progress. Kelly Group excelled in the delivery of this project resulting in very satisfied clients.
