Helensvale State School
Helensvale State School contracted Kelly Group through the Department of Education to reroof the Student Activity Centre and Home Economics buildings. A total of 2200m² of KLIP-LOK 700 Surfmist roof sheeting was laid within 4 weeks. This time frame was very satisfying for both the client and Kelly Group given the technical expertise required for the octagonal roof shape. Meticulous measurements are needed to cut raked sheets to achieve a visually stunning finish and one that will stand the test of time.

Further work involved lowering parapet walls to allow installation of new timber fascia and installing a 600 girth eaves gutter to replace the original box gutter system. Scope of works involved the deinstallation and re-routing of air conditioning systems from lower roofs to ground level. Attention to detail is critical where multiple penetrations complicate the roof system.
